I started this blog...

as a way of compiling all my families favorite recipes all together in one place.
My daughter asked me if I would write down a certain something I make so
she has it when she grows up and has a family. I thought that was a good idea,
so I decided to combine all our favorites and make one big book. It will be a
work in progress and a way for me to ORGANIZE all the recipes stashed in
the cupboard. And I've realized, I like taking pictures of food!

Bacon Wrapped Lil' Smokies

I made these yummy little appetizers for our Super Bowl party. The game was lame, but the food wasn't!
14 oz. package lil' smokies
12 slices bacon
brown sugar
toothpicks

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with foil. Cut bacon into thirds. Tightly wrap a sausage with bacon, secure with toothpick and place on baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes or until a little crispy. Drain grease. Sprinkle with a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar. Place under broiler a couple of minutes until sugar is bubbly.
