I started this blog...

as a way of compiling all my families favorite recipes all together in one place.
My daughter asked me if I would write down a certain something I make so
she has it when she grows up and has a family. I thought that was a good idea,
so I decided to combine all our favorites and make one big book. It will be a
work in progress and a way for me to ORGANIZE all the recipes stashed in
the cupboard. And I've realized, I like taking pictures of food!

Hawaiian Chicken


6 chicken breasts, cubed
garlic salt
season all
1 (20 oz) can pineapple tidbits with juice
1 green peppered, diced (optional)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. soy sauce
3 t. cornstarch
brown or white rice (3 cups uncooked to make 6 servings)
cashews

Cook chicken in little oil. Season with a little garlic salt and season all. In saucepan, combine pineapple, green pepper, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Thicken with cornstarch. Pour over chicken. Serve over brown rice and top with cashews.
