I started this blog...

as a way of compiling all my families favorite recipes all together in one place.
My daughter asked me if I would write down a certain something I make so
she has it when she grows up and has a family. I thought that was a good idea,
so I decided to combine all our favorites and make one big book. It will be a
work in progress and a way for me to ORGANIZE all the recipes stashed in
the cupboard. And I've realized, I like taking pictures of food!

Shredded Chicken Taco Salads

4 chicken breasts
1 sm. bottle Zesty Italian Dressing
1 T. chili powder
1 T. cumin
1 t. garlic powder
1 can black beans

Place everything in crock pot and cook for four to five hours, until chicken is cooked and easily shreds with fork. I added a cup or two of cooked leftover rice I had in the fridge too.

This is one of my favorite dinners. I got these fun taco shell molds from Avon.
You place a soft tortilla inside, bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Take out and fill with shredded chicken, or beef, pork, hamburger...
And all the works, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, ranch, guacamole!
So good!
