This recipe is for a donut maker. A healthier version than deep frying and I love, love, love my donut maker! Mix the batter and then it only takes about 3-4 minutes before you have a warm donut. Who wouldn't love that!
This is Dalayni's reaction when we make donuts~
3 T. butter, softened
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. pumpkin
1/4 c. sour cream
2 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1 1/4 t. pumpking pie spice
1/4 t. salt
In a small bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, beat together butter and sugars. Add eggs, beat until smooth. Add pumpkin and sour cream, blend until smooth. Stir in dry ingredients, mix well.
Heat donut maker and cook according to manufactures instructions about 3-4 minutes.
Cool and frost with maple buttercream frosting.
Maple Buttercream Frosting:
1/4 c. butter, softened
2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
1/4 t. maple extract
In a medium bowl, beat 1 c. powdered sugar, butter and milk together until smooth. Add maple extract. Beat well. Add remaining powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
