I started this blog...

as a way of compiling all my families favorite recipes all together in one place.
My daughter asked me if I would write down a certain something I make so
she has it when she grows up and has a family. I thought that was a good idea,
so I decided to combine all our favorites and make one big book. It will be a
work in progress and a way for me to ORGANIZE all the recipes stashed in
the cupboard. And I've realized, I like taking pictures of food!

Quick Granola

2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. honey
1/3 c. oil
1/2 t. vanilla
1/4 t. salt
cashews (or any type of nut)
sunflower seeds, flax seeds, almonds, wheat germ, coconut, raisins, craisins, or anything else you love!

Mix together. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes (stirring half way through) for a soft, chewy texture. Bake a little longer if you like it crunchy. You might want to double the recipe for a larger batch because it is so good!

Serve warm out of the oven with yogurt and fresh fruit or like cold cereal with milk.
