I started this blog...

as a way of compiling all my families favorite recipes all together in one place.
My daughter asked me if I would write down a certain something I make so
she has it when she grows up and has a family. I thought that was a good idea,
so I decided to combine all our favorites and make one big book. It will be a
work in progress and a way for me to ORGANIZE all the recipes stashed in
the cupboard. And I've realized, I like taking pictures of food!

Shredded BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

This is a fast, yummy meal we enjoy.
3 chicken breasts, per 1 (8) pack of buns
Barbeque sauce
Boil chicken until done and can easily be shredded with a fork. After removing from water and shredded, add enough barbeque sauce until all the meat is coated. Great to do in the crock pot, too. Serve on buns.

Or
you can make your own sauce and bake the chicken:
(4 medium chicken breasts & 10-12 buns depending on size)

1/4 t. Kosher salt
1/8 t. pepper
2 T. brown sugar
1 t. chili powder
1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. onion powder
1/4 t. mustard
3/4 c. ketchup
1 T. apple cider vinegar
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
Mix well. Place aluminum foil in baking pan. Make a slit in the chicken breast and unfold. Place in pan. Spoon sauce over top. Bake at 350 degrees, 45-50 minutes. Shred, then spoon onto hamburger buns.
