I started this blog...

as a way of compiling all my families favorite recipes all together in one place.
My daughter asked me if I would write down a certain something I make so
she has it when she grows up and has a family. I thought that was a good idea,
so I decided to combine all our favorites and make one big book. It will be a
work in progress and a way for me to ORGANIZE all the recipes stashed in
the cupboard. And I've realized, I like taking pictures of food!

Pancake and Waffle Batter

2 eggs
2 c. milk (you can also use evaporated milk or buttermilk)
3 T. oil
2 c. flour
2 T. sugar
2 t. baking powder
1 t. soda
1 t. salt

Combine all ingredients and mix with mixer. Drop onto hot griddle or waffle iron.

When making pancakes I like to add frozen blueberries! Yummy!!!

Maple Syrup
Bring 2 c. sugar and 1 c. water to a gentle boil. Continue boiling for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add 1 t. maple flavoring. Serve over pancakes, waffles, french toast or scones. Top it off with sliced strawberries!
