I started this blog...

as a way of compiling all my families favorite recipes all together in one place.
My daughter asked me if I would write down a certain something I make so
she has it when she grows up and has a family. I thought that was a good idea,
so I decided to combine all our favorites and make one big book. It will be a
work in progress and a way for me to ORGANIZE all the recipes stashed in
the cupboard. And I've realized, I like taking pictures of food!

Sweet and Sour Pork Spareribs

This recipe comes from Aunt Linda. Absolutely so good!
2 pkgs. boneless pork spareribs, cut in fourths
2 cans tomato soup
1/3 c. ketchup
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 T. vinegar
1/4 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 heaping T. honey
1 T. Kitchen Bouquet
2 T. soy sauce
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 can pineapple chunks, optional
1 green pepper, julienned, optional
1/3 c. raw almonds

Brown spareribs in skillet; drain grease.
Add all ingredients except last three optionals. Simmer spareribs in sauce for 1 hour, then add optional ingredients.
Serve over brown rice.
