I started this blog...

as a way of compiling all my families favorite recipes all together in one place.
My daughter asked me if I would write down a certain something I make so
she has it when she grows up and has a family. I thought that was a good idea,
so I decided to combine all our favorites and make one big book. It will be a
work in progress and a way for me to ORGANIZE all the recipes stashed in
the cupboard. And I've realized, I like taking pictures of food!

French Bread Casserole

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms, optional
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1/2 can, milk
2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 loaf french bread

Cook ground beef, drain. Add green pepper and onion; saute until onion is translucent. Stir in soup and milk.
Slice bread in half lengthwise. Scoop out bread and add to beef mixture. Stir well and then pour evenly into both hallowed out bread halfs. Top with cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
